Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy on processing personal data in connection with the project “DECK - Developing environmental and circular knowledge"

This policy has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 - General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is intended to inform you about the personal data processing activities, the purposes for which the data are processed, the measures and safeguards for the protection of the processed data, your rights and how you can exercise them in accordance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (referred to as "Regulation 2016/679" or "GDPR") and other applicable national and European Union laws of all parties involved in the project.

Specifically, the project "Developing Environmental and Circular Knowledge - DECK" is a project co-funded by the European Commission - European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) - Program ERASMUS+ 2021-2027 (Project ID:101090437, Call: ERASMUS-SPORT-2022-SCP) which has the overall objective of raising awareness and promoting the adoption of environmental management and circular economy practices by key players in the sport in order to improve sustainability during canoe and kayak competitions.

The following information describes the processing of personal data of participants in DECK events and users who visit the project website (www.deckproject.eu) in accordance with Regulation 2016/679.

The policy provided here does not pertain to other websites, pages, or online services accessible via hyperlinks on the above websites but relating to resources outside the DECK domain.

2. LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING

  1. We collect and process personal data based on contractual obligation (Project ID:101090437, Call: ERASMUS-SPORT-2022 SCP) in accordance with Article 6, par. 1, letter b) of the GDPR;

  2. The DECK project is co-funded by the European Commission-European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) - Program ERASMUS+ 2021-2027; therefore, personal data are processed under a legal obligation pursuant to Article 6, par. 1, letter c) of the GDPR and, in particular, based on the obligations under the Program and the Financial Regulation applicable to the general budget of the Union

  3. We collect personal data from website users on the basis of the user's consent in accordance with Article 6 letter a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 - (GDPR) in order to provide access to content and services provided by the website www.deckproject.eu and thus achieve the objectives established by the DECK project.

  4. The consent of website users and participants in project activities is also required to circulate the project newsletters.

  5. The personal data collected will be provided to all the project partners and relevant European institutions under contractual obligation in accordance with Article 6, par. 1, letter b) of the GDPR.

 

3. RETENTION PERIOD OF THE PERSONAL DATA

The personal data collected under the DECK project will be stored for a period not exceeding the period necessary to complete the project and for the audit purposes envisaged by the Project "Developing Environmental and Circular Knowledge - DECK" co-funded by the European Commission - European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) - Program ERASMUS+ 2021-2027 (Project ID:101090437, Call: ERASMUS SPORT-2022-SCP), by European or national legislation and to European institutions. Data will be stored for up to 5 years after the end of the project (until the end of 2030).

 

4. CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA AND PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING

  1. Data of participants in project events
    Registration for events organised under the project requires the collection of a set of participant data, which may include, names, pictures, contact information (e-mail and/or phone number).
  1. Data reported by users
    The sending of messages, based on the free, voluntary and explicit choice of the user, to the contact addresses of the DECK Project, the voluntary completion and submission of the forms made available on this website, the voluntary request to receive the newsletter entail the acquisition of the sender's contact data - necessary to provide a response - as well as all the personal data communicated in this manner.
  1. Cookies and other tracking tools
    The website uses technical cookies that allow navigation on the site and its correct functioning. The use of these cookies does not require the consent of the interested party. For this reason, the use of technical cookies will be the default setting when accessing the Project website. 5. RECIPIENTS OF THE DATA

According to legal and contractual obligations related to the project, personal data collected from Project participants may be provided to the following entities:

  1. European Commission
  2. the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) under regulations no. 883/201316 and no. 2185/9617
  3. the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) under regulation (EU) 2017/1939
  4. the European Court of Auditors (ECA) in accordance with Article 287 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU) and Article 257 of the financial regulation (EU) 2018/1046.

6. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS

Data subjects have the right to obtain access to their personal data, as well as the rectification or erasure of such data or the restriction of processing concerning them, and to object to processing (pursuant to Articles 15 to 22 of the Regulation). Please contact one of the partners to submit all the requests to exercise these rights.

 

7. RIGHT TO LODGE A COMPLAINT

If the data subject believes that the processing of personal data concerning them violates the Regulation, they have the right to lodge a complaint with each of the DECK project partners under Article 77 of the Regulation.

 

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

The information in this policy is subject to change. If so, the date related to the "last update" at the bottom of this page will also change. Any changes to this policy will apply immediately with regard to your data.
